MUNICIPAL WASTE FRONTMAN OFFERS BAND UPDATE

Richmond, VA's own MUNICIPAL WASTE will never tire of being out on the road. Between big festivals like Best Friends Day & Fun Fun Fun Fest, smaller club shows and the European tour they will embark upon in December,  the band find themselves as busy as they've ever been. Frontman, Tony Foresta has chimed in, letting fans know about all of the band's latest exploits:

"Greetings from Richmond! A lot of people have been asking what's been going on with the Waste lately and here is a quick update.
Our summer at home is starting to come to an end and for a great summer ender our Best Friends Day gig was outstanding and probably was my favorite shows of the year. It was so much fun playing such a rowdy and energetic show in our hometown with so many amazing people and bands. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported it.

We are really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things after having the majority of the summer off (which we haven't had in years). You can see our video for "Acid Sentence" on youtube, myspace and the familiar places.  It was produced by the great people at Fangoria.  We have some really cool gigs coming up in the near future starting with us Headlining the Tankcrimes Brainsqueeze Fest in Oakland California on OCT 9th with our good friends Ghoul, Direct Control and Vitamin X and tons more. We haven't been out west in a long time and we are not sure when we will make it back so DONT MISS IT! Then back on the East Coast on Halloween weekend we are heading down to The Fest in Gainesville Florida. Halloween gigs are really special for us because we always dress up for the occasion and our costumes are usually pretty offensive/ridiculous and this year should be no exception. You have been warned.

After The Fest the Waste will hook up for a weeks worth of shows with none other than High on Fire and Kylesa (Suicidal Tendencies will be on a few of these gigs as well!). Those shows will be leading to the mighty Fun Fun Fun fest in Austin Texas which features one of the most over the top lineups I've seen in a while (Mastadon, Gwar, Suicidal, Devo, Floor, Weird Al and a ton more!).  Then in December, we are headed back to Europe for a bunch of shows and see are amazing European fans!!!!

We are really looking forward to all these amazing gigs and have more good stuff in the works so just keep checking our myspace for updates. I swear one day we will actually have a website! (burp) Once again thanks for all the support over the years and see you in the mosh!"

Taken from the band's most recent album, MASSIVE AGGRESSIVE, the new music video for "Acid Sentence" centers around a serial killer who bathes his victims in acid. Shot in the style of a classic black and white horror film, video offers all of the aggression and fierce gore that fans have come to love aboutMUNICIPAL WASTE and FANGORIA.

"Acid Sentence"
was directed by David McKendry. To give the fans an extra dose of terrifying bloody gore, David also recruited the effects talents atDapper Cadaver, whose fine gore craftsmanship has graced TV shows like BONES and DEXTER. Municipal Waste front man Tony Foresta is one of the musicians featured in "The Blood Vomits," a new animated comedy series set in a violent medieval world.

"The Blood Vomits" tells the tale of Mad Dog, Nails, and their friend, Father Macgregor, as they rape and pillage their way into your hearts. The voices for the three lead roles are provided by Gwar's Oderus Urungus, Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, and Municipal Waste's Tony Foresta respectively.
